TV Tower

Another Praque-layout from our vacation last year. It's been fun checking out various sculptures by David Czerny spread throughout the city of Praque. I really liked this one - only downside was that when you got up in the TV Tower, you weren't able to go outside. I had been looking forward to looking straight up at the crawling babies but that was not possible. Still - the TV Tower is cool - and the sculptures even cooler!

  Last day in Praque! We got up at a little past 9, got the bags packed, went down and had breakfast and then we checked out of room 105. We could have the bags at the hotel until it was time to leave for the airport, so we reserved a cab for that time and then we went on our last tour in Praque. Our first stop was the TV-tower at which there was another David Czerny sculpture/installation: Babies crawling all over the tower (Mummy, 2000).
  We got on the lift and when up in the tower to a height at about 93 meter where there was a platform where you could watch all the around Praque. Unfortunately you couldn't get outside so you could take pictures of the babies up close - you couldn't even see them from the platform. But the view of Praque was good!

  Sidste dag i Prag! Vi stod op lidt over 9, pakkede det meste, gik ned og fik morgenmad og så tjekkede vi ud af værelse 105. Vi kunne have taskerne stående på hotellet, indtil vi skulle af sted mod lufthavnen, så vi bestilte en taxa til da og så tog vi ellers af sted på den sidste udflugt i Prag. Første stop var TV-tårnet hvor der var endnu en David Czerny skulptur/installation: små babyer kravlede over det hele på tårnet (Mummy, 2000). Vi tog elevatoren op i tårnet til omkr. 93 meters højde hvor der var udsigtsrum så man reelt kunne se ud over hele Prag, hele vejen rundt. Desværre kunne man ikke komme ud så man kunne fotografere babyerne tættere på – man kunne faktisk ikke engang se dem fra vinduerne. Men udsigten var god!
