Hunting Swans
An Ali Edwards inspired layout. Love, love, love how it turned out. So simple and yet it works so well. That's what I love about Ali Edwards - well, that and her great use of patterned paper. I definitely learned a lot from her latest book, A Designer's Eye on scrapbooking with patterned paper. I think she has a new book coming out later this year - can't wait!
I had tried a couple of times to get some pictures of these small swans, born earlier this year. But every time I brought my camera, they weren't there. Typical! And when my camera wasn't with me, they were everywhere it seemed. But this day, Peder and I walked Kayleigh and I had my camera with me so not only did I get a picture of the cute ones, I got a picture to illustrate the story about Kayleigh chasing a swan...
By the way - all four corners are rounded - I know the top right one doesn't look that way, but it is!

- English version:
Try looking at that swan. See the open mouth. Be happy there there's no sound - otherwise you would hear it hissing. Loud. At Kayleigh.
At my sweet little girl.
How can that be?
Can it be because it's protecting it's kids and sees Kayleigh as a threat?
Could it be because it's a cranky swan and because swans simply just take advantage of the fact that they are huge and that everybody is afraid of them and walks in huges circles around them?
Or could it be because it has heard from another swan about the time Kayleigh got away from me down at the Slotssø (Castle Lake) and went straight for a full grown swan and chased it down into the lake even though it bashed it's wings and hissed - nothing happened - into the lake with it and Kayleigh then came trodding back to eat the bread people had thrown for the swans...
No matter the reason, this swan did nok like Kayleigh!
