The Ocean Horse in Munke Mose

This statue is one of my absolute favourite things about Odense. I've lived close to it for several years and passed by it so many times - and never did it look so absolutely beautiful as it did this day.
On Henrik's polterabend, we were walking from our picnic/playtime in the park/bog (Munke Mose) to the restaurant where we were to have dinner and because of the rain earlier in the day, a rainbow was in the foam rising from the horse's nostrils. Love it!
And the entire park (which is a former bog), is one of my favourite hang out spots in Odense as well and this statue is kind of a symbol for this place. And everybody I know loves this horse! It's just the coolest thing!
I got the inspiration for the flower from Nathalia's blog Funkyphreshpapierkreations - see the tutorial here. I had some problems following the instructions - maybe because I was using patterned paper and not heavy cardstock... But I like the way it turned out! So thanks Nathalia!

  I've always loved the Ocean Horse. It's in the stream in the xxx and sprays water ouf ot it's nostrils. I've passed it so many times but it has never been so beautiful as this day on Henrik's polterabend where we passed it on our way from the bog to Mongolian Barbecue. A beautiful rainbow in the water sprinkling up from the nostrils - amazing. (June 16th 2007)

  Jeg har altid elsket Havhesten. Den står i åen i mosen og sprøjter vand ud af næseborene. Jeg er gået forbi den så mange dage, fx på vejen fra TK til Føtex eller byen, men den har aldrig været så flot, som denne dag på Henriks polterabend, hvor vi gik forbi den på vej fra mosen til Mongolian Barbecue.
