Isn't it funny how I can keep up having pictures of Max eating stuff he shouldn't be eating? How can one tiny little hamster get into so much trouble??? I guess that's one of the things that make him so adorable. I love the picture of his tiny tail sticking out of the chocolate wrapping, so cute.

  As a hamster, life is about catching opportunities when they arrive. And in particular when it comes to food - as a hamster you have to eat when food is available, because you never know when you get food again. If for instance you're out exercising on the kitchen table and someone has used chocolate for cooking - and haven't put it away again! - then as a good hamster you have too do your best to get to the chocolate. It has absolutely nothing to do with being a small guy fancying something good to eat - it's only about ensuring survival and if chocolate is all that's available, you have to settle for that...

  For en hamster handler livet om at gribe muligheder, når de er der. Og det gælder naturligvis især med mad – man er som hamster nødt til at spise, når der er mad, for man ved aldrig hvornår man får mad igen. Når man fx er ude på køkkenbordet for at blive motioneret og der er nogen der har brugt overtrækschokolade – og ikke har pakket det væk igen! – så er man faktisk som en god hamster nødt til at gøre sit bedste for at få fat i chokoladen. Det har slet ikke noget at gøre med at man er en lille lækkersulten gut – det handler kun om at sikre sin overlevelse og hvis der kun er chokolade til rådighed, må man jo slå sig til tåls med det…
