Ball + Kay
Kayleigh has always loved her ball - and suddenly I discovered that I hadn't scrapped it - and barely had any pictures of it. It amazes me that sometimes things that happened all the time and are such an important part of our daily lives, don't find their way into our scrapbooks.
I love the masking technique - used some american crafts stickers and painted over them and then peeled them off after the paint dried. Love it!

Kayleigh found the ball in the garden one day when she wasn't very old - and since then is has been her favourite toy. It's so cool, she thinks. However, people around her don't always share her violent joy of ball play. Because Kayleigh's way of playing with ball - especially for a while, not so much anymore - entails dropping the ball close to you, barking and getting yourself all excited untill you throw the ball and then she runs after it while barking, catches it and then she comes back, drops the ball close to you - maybe bite you a bit in the ankle to make you notice the ball - and then she backs away full speed while she waits for you to throw the ball - and maybe bark some more...
Now she has developed a more civilized way of playing with it - at least some times - maybe because Peder has been known to confiscate the ball because he got tired of throwing it all the time and of listening to all her noise.
She still places the ball close to you but when we're sitting in the office and she wants to play with it, she sits or lies out in the hallway in front of the door to the bathroom and waits for one of us to throw it. And she can lie there a long time - but when you start searching for the ball, she gets up and starts wagging her tail and you can see she's so ready to throw herself after the ball...
I hope the ball never gets broken or lost - she loves it way too much to be able to live without it!
Handwritten journaling: And she is so cute when she walks around with the ball in her mouth - just because it's nice.
