The Sct. George Basilika and Golden Lane
Two different sights from the castle area. Firstly, the beautiful Sct. George Basilika and secondly, the small cozy, but very turistry Golden Lane.
Not sure what went wrong with the second scan. Have tried to get it to look better but for some reason, it just won't.

Page 1: This was our first stop in the castle area. The church exterior and interior was not at all coordinating - the beautiful red and white exterior was early baroque but contains the czech republic's best preserved roman church. What's left now is mostly the result of a restuaration process made in 1887-1908.
Page 2: From the basilika we went to Golden Lane - Golden Lane is a small cozy street with buildings from the 16th century. Originally they were used for the castle sharpshooters and later gold smiths. For a period of time, artists lived her - among others, Kafka lived her in no. 22 1916-1917 - today it's a turist trap with small stores in all the houses. Many, many, many stores - which all sells crappy stuff. Also there was a mility museum with armor and weapon which Peder thought very interesting... But if it weren't for all the tourists and all the lousy stores, it would be a very nice place!
